BMW's Sports Activity Coupe line is the only one of its kind on the market, combining the sleek and muscular look of a coupe with the capability and power of an SUV. The recently redesigned BMW X4--the brand's compact SAC option--adopts a bold new style. For 2019, trim levels include the BMW X4 xDrive30i, and the BMW X4 M40i.

That's room for friends, family, gear, pets, or just about any combination of the four. Sharp Coupe-Like Styling

As a Compact Sports Activity Coupe, the BMW X4 is unlike any other crossover in the Easy Bay Area--and its stylish exterior sets it apart even from its siblings within the SAC line. The flirtatious sloping roofline and the well-muscled rear end may pay a subtle homage to the Gran Coupe style that we've seen on the 4 Series--but the solid height and build are all power and capability. The exterior can be customized with body style packages like the xLine and M Sport.

Engine Specs, Transmission, and AWD

All models in the 2019 BMW X4 lineup come standard with an 8-speed automatic transmission and xDrive all-wheel drive. It's very likely that an sDrive X4 model will become available for the next model-year. The standard engine for the new BMW X4 is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, good for 248 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque; available power comes from a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine, good for 355 horsepower and 343 pound-feet of torque.

Safety Systems and Tech Features

Safety features in the new 2019 BMW X4 include Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Blind Spot Detection, Frontal Collision Warning with City Collision Mitigation, Active Lane Keeping Assistant through a Driving Assistance Plus Package, as well as Parking Assistant Plus, Active Park Distance Control, and Surround View with 3D View cameras. Tech features include a Head-up Display System and state-of-the-art Gesture Control, a 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and more.
